Bois Le Duc
Well I finally had to give myself a break from MTM. It is starting to become a chore stitching it every day. I think I may have to revise my goals for MTM. I think my new goal will be to keep up to date each month with Mystery IX and just stitch on MTM in rotation until I have caught up. I started it 3 months behind and I feel like I have been stithing it forever just to get up to date. So, if it ends up taking more time than the 12 months to finish, so be it. I will still try to catch up, but not at the expense of all my other stitching. I think it might have been a bit ambitious of me to expect to be up to date on 2 of Martinas large projects at once and still have other projects on the go, particularly when one was started late. I feel much better since I made this decision:)

So with all this in mind I worked on Long Dogs' Bois Le Duc tonight which was such a welcome change:) Speaking of Long Dog, I received an email from Julia Line (of Long Dog) today with the new release. I can't wait for this to arrive:) It's called Sarabande.

I don't blame you at all!!! That might happen to me before long too (not keeping up with two Chatelaines!!)

Your start to Bois Le Duc is fantastic - I can't wait to stitch it too - and Sarabande and Bliss Fairy are both MUST HAVES!!! Your blog is such at treat!

I forgot to ask - what fabric are you using for Bois Le Duc? It's a big sampler, right?

I totally understand about needing breaks from the Chatelaine designs. That's what I'm doing with Alpine right now. I love it and it's my focus piece, but I still need to have a rest as it is a lot of rather fiddly stitching.

I tried being up to date at first as well, but the pressure was just too great and I stopped enjoying the stitching. I figure I'm doing this for relaxation, calm and enjoyment so if it's stressing me out I'm totally missing the point.

I do like the new Long Dog. I need new patterns like a hole in the head, but it's still tempting.

Don't feel pressured by the stitching Karen, it's not good for you or the stitching. You just stitch on it as and when you feel like it, that's my opinion.

    Your new start looks great.
